Mailchimp
Add or update a Mailchimp audience contact when someone completes your form. This integration is free on every Floov plan; Mailchimp's own plan limits still apply.
Connect Mailchimp
As the workspace owner, open Settings > Integrations and choose Connect a Mailchimp account. Sign in to Mailchimp, approve Floov, then return to your form. Admins and editors can configure forms using an existing workspace connection; only the owner can connect or disconnect accounts.
Set Up Your Form
- Include an email question and explain what respondents are subscribing to.
- Open Settings > Integrations > Mailchimp in the form editor.
- Select your account and audience. Create the audience in Mailchimp first if needed, then choose Refresh.
- Select the Email field and map answers to any audience fields you want to send. Map every required audience field.
- Optionally enter tags, separated by commas. Floov adds these tags without removing existing ones.
- Keep Confirm new subscriptions on to send new contacts Mailchimp's confirmation email. Turn it off only when your form already collects permission to subscribe.
- Turn on Send responses to Mailchimp and publish the form.
Fields and Subscription Status
Floov matches contacts by email within the selected audience. Existing contacts keep their current subscription status, including unsubscribed and pending contacts. Submitting the form again does not resubscribe an unsubscribed contact. Only mapped answers and configured tags are sent; empty optional answers do not erase existing audience values.
Supported audience fields are text, number, phone, ZIP code, dropdown, radio, date, and birthday. Dropdown and radio answers must match a Mailchimp option exactly. Use date questions for dates, or MM/DD for birthdays. Address and other unsupported audience fields must be optional in Mailchimp. File uploads, signatures, addresses, rankings, and multiple-choice answers with multiple selections cannot be mapped. Hidden fields can be mapped.
Changing the selected account or audience asks for confirmation before clearing existing field mappings and turning delivery off in the draft. Set up the new mappings, enable delivery, and publish. Renaming a mapped Mailchimp field does not break the mapping. After removing or changing audience fields, choose Refresh, review the mappings, and publish again.
Check Delivery
Only new completed responses are sent, after they are saved. Partial responses and historical responses are not imported. Check the form's Deliveries page for errors. A failed integration delivery leaves the response saved in Floov, but it is not automatically retried. Check required fields, answer formats, connection permissions, and Mailchimp limits. If adding tags fails after the contact was updated, the contact may already exist in Mailchimp even though the delivery shows a failure.
Publish changes to apply them, including turning off or clearing the integration. Disconnecting the workspace account stops future delivery immediately. After reconnecting, select the account again in each affected form and publish. Moving the form to another workspace requires a new connection setup and publication.
For workflows involving other services, see Make or Zapier. See Viewing Responses for your saved submissions.
Date and Date & Time questions retain the respondent's timezone offset. Mailchimp date and birthday mappings use the selected calendar date, rather than shifting it to UTC.
If the connection window does not open, allow popups or open the connection link in a new tab. Choose Refresh after connecting. Loading failures keep your saved mappings; wait before refreshing again if you see a rate-limit message.
