Close a Form & Set Limits

Use Access settings to stop new submissions manually or when a deadline or response cap is reached. Open the form editor, choose Settings, and open Access.

Close or reopen a form manually

  1. Turn on Close form to pause collection, or turn it off to reopen.
  2. Publish the change.
  3. Open the public form link to check the result.

This control is available on Free and Pro. When closed, visitors see This form is closed instead of the form, and new submissions are refused. Turning off the manual closure will reopen the form only if no other active limit has closed it.

Set a deadline

Pro. Turn on Set time limit and choose an expiry date and time. The picker shows your device time zone; Floov saves an absolute time. A valid date and time are required to publish with the limit enabled. After that time, the published form closes automatically. To resume collecting, update or disable the limit and publish again.

Cap completed responses

Pro. Turn on Set response limit, enter a positive maximum, and publish. Floov counts completed responses across all published versions. Saved partial responses do not take a place, but they cannot complete after another response fills the last place. To collect more, raise or disable the cap and publish again.

Customize the closure message

Turn on Customize closure message, enter a single-line message of up to 500 characters, and publish. It replaces the translated default for manual, deadline, and response-limit closures, including on password-protected forms. The message is public, so leave out private details. Turning the option off restores the default while retaining the text in the editor.

What visitors see

A form closes when any one of the three closure conditions applies. Floov checks them on the server, including at submission time. A closed form shows its closure state before any password prompt. If the account is blocked or its Pro access lapses, visitors instead see Form unavailable without your custom closure message.
