Edit Forms with AI
Floov AI can understand whether you want to modify existing items, add new toolbox items, delete existing items, or combine those actions inside the form editor. It can find fields and content blocks on the current page even when they are not selected, and one proposal can update, add, or delete several items. Every proposal stays in your draft until you publish, and Floov shows the changes before anything is applied.
Open the conversation
- Open a form in the editor.
- Choose Floov AI in the main editor toolbar.
- Optionally select a field or content block when you want “this” to refer to that item.
Floov AI uses one conversation for the form. The message box receives focus when the conversation opens. Its context badge follows your current field or page, so you can move around the form without opening separate chats or losing earlier exchanges. Each sent message and proposal keeps the context that was active when you sent it. The chat header always shows the workspace owner's current shared AI credit balance and refreshes it after each request.
Ask for a change
You can identify an item in your instruction, for example “Rename Email address to Work email”, “Make Phone number required”, or “Center the welcome heading.” You can combine changes, such as “Make Full name and Phone number required, and rename Email address to Work email.” You can also remove existing items with instructions such as “Delete the phone number field” or “Remove the privacy paragraph.” Removing a placeholder or instructions changes that property without deleting the field. A selection is helpful for instructions such as “Make this optional”, but it is not required when the item can be identified from the current page.
Use clear creation language when you want new items, for example “Add an optional company name field”, “Add an email and a phone number”, “Add a paragraph explaining our privacy policy”, or “Add two columns.” Floov distinguishes those requests from instructions that modify existing items. New fields follow the placeholder style of comparable fields on the current page. When no pattern exists, Floov AI adds useful format examples to fields such as email, phone, number, and date, and selection hints to dropdowns, while avoiding redundant placeholders on generic text fields. You can always request a specific placeholder or ask Floov AI to omit one. When an Editor block is selected, requests such as “Add a paragraph about privacy” update that block and preserve its existing content; explicitly asking for a new content block inserts another Editor instead of a Long text input. One request can contain up to 10 updates, additions, and deletions in total.
You can also ask for settings that exist in the manual field editor, such as “Limit Biography to 500 characters”, “Show seven stars”, “Start the scale at zero”, “Allow two choices”, “Default Phone to Romania”, or “Accept PDF files up to 25 MB.” For Address fields, identify the subfield and setting you want changed.
When an item is selected, new items are placed immediately after it in the same section and in the order requested. With page context, they are placed at the end of the current page. Press Enter to send or Shift+Enter to add a new line. Floov saves pending draft work before starting the request, then charges the workspace owner's shared AI credit balance according to measured provider usage.
You may close and reopen the conversation while a request is running without losing its current-session history. Closing the conversation pauses status polling in the browser; the request continues in the background, and polling resumes when you reopen it.
Resolve an active proposal before sending another message. Every message is processed as a separate edit request, but Floov sends up to the eight most recent resolved exchanges from the current editor session so follow-up instructions can refer to earlier work. The latest saved form remains the source of truth. Floov makes one AI provider attempt per message; if it fails, Floov reports the failure immediately so you can revise or resend the instruction without waiting for an automatic retry.
Review and apply
A successful response appears as a proposal listing the before-and-after values for every affected item. Addition proposals identify each item type and placement, while deletion proposals identify every item that will be removed. Choose Discard to make no change, or Apply to update the draft. All operations in one proposal are applied together. The last newly added item is selected automatically. The proposal closes immediately, and the editor saves the changed draft through its normal auto-save. Publish separately when you want visitors to receive the changes.
If you edit or remove any target, or change the insertion area while AI is working, Floov rejects the stale proposal instead of overwriting newer work. Return to the relevant page if you moved away before applying.
Supported changes
All input fields and non-structural content blocks support page-aware AI editing. Depending on the items named or selected, AI can revise labels and their visibility, instructions, placeholders, Required settings, text and number limits, choice limits, phone defaults, rating and scale settings, file restrictions, Address subfields, choices, headings, Editor text and formatting, quotes, spacing and divider styles, image descriptions, media and embed display settings, action-button text, and social-icon presentation. AI may add, rename, reorder, or remove choices. Retained choices keep their existing stored values so label changes do not rewrite submitted answers. AI can also delete one or several existing leaf input fields or content blocks in the same request. Ranking supports its real label, instructions, visibility, and choices and is not treated as a Required field.
AI can add every toolbox item: all input fields; Title, Editor, Spacing, Horizontal line, Quote, Image, Video, Embed, Action Button, and Social Media blocks; Address; and the two-column Columns layout. File Upload and E-signature are available only when the form owner has Pro access. Every page already includes Floov's built-in Start or Next navigation. Floov tells AI not to infer another Action Button when making a welcome or introduction page; ask explicitly for a separate button, CTA, or link when you want that block. Columns and other structural containers cannot be deleted through AI, so a deletion cannot silently remove a subtree. Field-type conversion is not supported yet.
For safety, this mode does not generate or change URLs, uploaded media sources, embed or button destinations, social links, arbitrary Columns structure, workflows, integrations, responses, or sensitive settings. New media, embed, button, and social blocks use safe empty sources that you complete in settings, and new Columns layouts always use the native two-column structure. Other protected changes remain available through their normal editor controls. Editor-block responses use bounded HTML and are sanitized by Floov before they reach the browser. Supported formatting matches the Editor toolbar: paragraphs, H1–H3, bold, italic, strike, code, lists, blockquotes, horizontal rules, line breaks, and left, center, or right alignment. Links, media, scripts, event handlers, arbitrary attributes, and other CSS are removed.
Privacy and retention
Floov sends your instruction, up to eight recent resolved exchanges from the current editor session, the current page name and visible title, and the allowlisted editable settings and current values of up to 30 editable items on that page to Google's Gemini API. If an item is selected, its identifier is included as a targeting hint. Floov does not send the native form structure, the rest of the form, form responses, uploaded files, media contents, URLs, integrations, or connected-account tokens. Do not enter passwords, credentials, confidential material, or sensitive personal data in the instruction or editable form copy.
Floov encrypts the instruction, bounded conversation and page context, and proposal at rest. That content is erased when the edit is accepted, discarded, fails, or expires. An unresolved proposal expires within 24 hours, and the remaining non-content operational row is deleted after 30 days. AI credit and provider-cost records are stored separately without the instruction or form content.
